What are the detailed steps needed to reproduce this problem? I just needed to boot into an Ubuntu I’ve tried most if not all the different permutations. The big problem is that I live on the Asian continent, which means I live in consumer hell. I think the next time, I’m not going to do a custom build. Note that registered members see fewer ads, and ContentLink is completely disabled once you log in. With only one set of hardware, and no recourse to replacing parts you really dont have any other choices.

Test with all four DIMMs to verify the issue is still there and that stressing the system with mprime can trigger it. Remove DIMMs 3 and 4.

This being an Intel non-enthusiast board, I probably have no way to adjust it, though. I’ve stepped back to two DIMMs until the power supply gets here.

What are the detailed steps needed to reproduce this problem? If it is not in the man pages or the how-to’s this is the place! So right now I’m thinking about just taking a spare hard drive and testing an installation on it before I commit a full install to UEFI.

A spontaneous reboot occurred during the Linux boot process right after, so the issue is there, and it doesn’t look like the RAM is at fault. Tue Oct 09, 9: Won’t post at DDR for some very odd reason.

It fails to identify at all. The trouble is even with the new PSU the computer keeps spontaneously rebooting once every several hours. Not that I can return this in exchange for another brand, even if one existed, this being consumer Hell.

It told me that it could not start X and asked me if I wanted to reconfigure. I dont lonux what is that HECI means. I’ll keep it running until it loops again.

Did you try swapping the memory between the different memory slots? Ensure that each dimm works. Other bug subscribers Subscribe someone else. Gd33fb you dont run windows correct?
